Personal information held by Burst SMS and/or Burst SMS clients

EMAIL ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER

When you register for a Burst SMS account we collect your personal details including your email address and mobile phone number. This information is used by us mainly for accounting and administrative purposes.

We may use aggregated information collected from total use of the Burst SMS to improve our service and for marketing and promotional activities to you.

This information we collect from you is strictly confidential. We will not reveal, disclose, sell, rent or pass that information on to any third parties unless they are contracted to us to keep the information confidential or are required to comply with all relevant laws including the Privacy Act 1988.

IP ADDRESS

We collect your IP address and link it to your account. This information is used to identify your geographic location for security purposes. This information is only kept for a maximum of three months.

PERSONAL INFORMATION UPLOADED BY CLIENTS

Any personal information of third parties uploaded to Burst SMS is held in the strictest confidence and is not aggregated, collected or stored in any other place than your account. We take every precaution to keep our clients list information databases completely secure. This information is used for the delivery of your messages.

CLIENT MESSAGES

Burst SMS may scan the content of your campaigns to ensure it complies with our Terms of Use — to protect against defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, obscene, profane, or threatening material that is racially or ethnically offensive.

If you are investigated for spam

If your account is investigated for spam we will cooperate fully with the authorities and may disclose your account information including your IP address and location in an appropriate manner.
