Increase SMS Message Impact With Personalisation
People do not want to receive messages from people they don't know. They view it as a breach of privacy and it can have a severe impact on your brand. The best way to make people feel at ease with your communication is to personalise it.
SenderID
The first thing you can do is set your message so that they are receiving it from a recognised source and not just some number they do not know. To do this we allow you to set your SenderID. The SenderID can be a number that the user may recognise or already have in their address book or you can set an alphanumeric SenderID of upto 11 characters.
Firstname and Lastname Variables
By default we have [firstname] and [lastname] variables in the system. That way if your contact has a name you can insert the variable [firstname] into your message and when the message is received the recipient will see their name. Having a persons name gives them extra surety that they had given permission to receive the communication.
Custom Variables
To make messages even more targeted and useful you can add custom variables to your contacts. Things like nicknames, birthdays, addresses and reminders can be added easilyby creating a custom variable.
